The
Steviosde Intense Sweetner. Stevia sugar is a new type sweetener
extracted from the Stevia Leaves (Herbaceous herb of the
Compositae family). It features high sweetness and low calorie
and its sweetness is 200-350 times of that of cane sugar
but its calorie is only 1/300 of that of cane sugar. It
is used in many countries in foods but not yet approved
for use in the EU or the USA. In these areas it is limited
to animal feed flavours. However in Japan and other Asian
Countries it has been widely used in foods for many years.
